No, you do not need to live in Egypt but you must obtain a one year residency visa which is renewable. |

4. How long will it take from when I put down my deposit to when I receive my property?
This depends upon whether you are buying ‘off-plan’ or a property which is already completed and available. The legal processes take from 6-9 months, but can take up to a year in a few cases. |

It is possible to secure mortgages or finance to purchase property. |

6. Will I be able to let (rent out) my property?

Sharm has its own International Hospital, often referred to as the ‘Pyramid Hospital’ in light of its design. There is also Sharm Medical Centre and a Hyperbaric Medical Centre, which handles dive-related emergencies.
